[RESOLVED] asp:BulletedList with LINQ

Hi experts,

How to bind asp:BulletedList? I am using LINQ.

Previously, I have done like:

1) The Stored procedure:

 ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[usp_ATI_ShowAllSamplePatientImmunizationsInfo]
AS
BEGIN
 SELECT
  ImmunizationName
 FROM
  tb_ImmunizationList
END

2) And my code behind is:

            PatientPreAdmissionDataContext PPADC = new PatientPreAdmissionDataContext();

            bListBrowsePatientImmunizationsInfo.DataSource = PPADC.usp_ATI_ShowAllSamplePatientImmunizationsInfo();
            bListBrowsePatientImmunizationsInfo.DataBind();

3) Finally, my HTML is:

<asp:BulletedList ID="bListBrowsePatientImmunizationsInfo" runat="server" DisplayMode="LinkButton"DataSource='<%# Eval("ImmunizationName") %>' DataTextField="ImmunizationName"></asp:BulletedList>

But unable to get it work.

Any idea guys?

Thanks.

Hi Experts,

I am asking too much or too confusing or it is unclear?

Please help me guys.

Thanks.

Hi,

VijayJadhav

DataSource='<%# Eval("ImmunizationName") %>

I'm afraid the above bind expression is not correct. Since you have assign the BulletedList Control DataSource in code-behind, it's no necessary to declare the datasoure in markup once more.

Please check these tutorials of using bulletedlist control.

http://www.aspnettutorials.com/tutorials/controls/bulletedlist-csharp.aspx

http://authors.aspalliance.com/aspxtreme/webforms/controls/bindingbulletedlistcontroltodatasource.aspx

Hope this can help you.

Thanks. Smile

[RESOLVED] Treeview display with bulltes

Hi,

I have a treeview implemented.

When the tree grows with nodes its a bit difficult to distinguish between nodes in the tree. A node description( displayed name of the node) can span couple of lines.

Can I  have bullet points in front of the nodes? ( I do not want the check box as this gives out a different meaning)

Ex:

  • Node 1
  • Node 2
  • Node 3
  • Node 4

You can view designer and choose a format for TreeView.

Click the TreeView in the desinger window and then the smarttag to the top right corner. Click Auto Format and pick a style for your TreeView. Here is one.

<asp:TreeView ID="TreeView1" runat="server" ImageSet="BulletedList2" ShowExpandCollapse="False">
    <HoverNodeStyle Font-Underline="True" ForeColor="#5555DD" />
    <NodeStyle Font-Names="Verdana" Font-Size="8pt" ForeColor="Black" HorizontalPadding="0px"
        NodeSpacing="0px" VerticalPadding="0px" />
    <ParentNodeStyle Font-Bold="False" />
    <SelectedNodeStyle Font-Underline="True" ForeColor="#5555DD" HorizontalPadding="0px"
        VerticalPadding="0px" />
</asp:TreeView>

[RESOLVED] How to display XML element content from the TreeView and Menu controls in an ASPX page

Below are an XML file, as the DataSource, and an aspx code with the TreeView and Menu controls.

Why the TreeView and Menu controls can not display the "1999" and "2000" for the <StarWars>
tag and <JurassicPark> tag?

XML file

<movies>
<
Adventure

>
<
StarWars>1999</StarWars>
<JurassicPark>2000</JurassicPark
>
<
IndependenceDay/></Adventure

>

<Animation

>
<IceAge
/><Shrek/></Animation>

<
Drama>
<
Titanic/><Ghost/><ForrestGump/></Drama>

<Horrer
>
<Jawa
/><TheRing/></Horrer><movies>

aspx code
<asp:TreeView id="CheckBoxList1" DataSourceId="srcMovies" Runat="server" />
<asp:Menu id="BulletedList1" DataSourceId="srcMovies" Runat="server" />

Hi,

wonjartran

Why the TreeView and Menu controls can not display the "1999" and "2000" for the <StarWars>
tag and <JurassicPark> tag?

You need to bind your treeview or menu control by InnerText.

Like:

<asp:TreeView ID="TreeView1" runat="server" DataSourceID="XmlDataSource1" OnTreeNodeDataBound="TreeView1_TreeNodeDataBound">
            <DataBindings>
                <asp:TreeNodeBinding TextField="#InnerText" DataMember="StarWars" />
                <asp:TreeNodeBinding TextField="#InnerText" DataMember="JurassicPark" />
            </DataBindings>
        </asp:TreeView>

XmlDataSource is refered to your xml file.

Hope this can help you.

[][] How to implement review page [][]

hi friends, can any body tell me how to implement review page like this

http://www.bidhere.com/review/

and which control should be used

Hi,

the main sales items can be made with a datalist (use the repeatcolumns="4" property) or the listview control.

The menus can be made with a bulletedlist control and some CSS to style it to become a menu.

Grz, Kris.

can u send me the code or any kind of tutorial

can u tell me how they have used graphics behind the comments

Hi,

22990atinesh

can u send me the code

That's something that you, or a person you hire, has to do.

22990atinesh

any kind of tutorial

Sure, read through these: http://www.asp.net/web-forms/data.

Grz, Kris.

22990atinesh

behind the comments

Which comments? Most likely they used CSS background images for it.

Just wondering, what's your idea? To learn how to create such a site? If so then study under the tabs Web forms or MVC. Also learn jQuery and CSS.

Grz, Kris.

I think your concern is how to develop this review page? If yes, I think you should buy a web page design book.

Well, Let's recur to your mentioned, I think you can consider use like ItemTemplate or other template to embed into a DataGrid, DateRepeater etc. controls.

If I misunderstood, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks,

[RESOLVED] Adding InsertEdit Anchore to the message editor

Hi All,

I am trying to add insert Anchor component to the FreeTextBox editor. If anyone knows Javascript for it please let me know.

Also, I see in the .net cpmponet there is a Microsoft Office Component BookmarK. How can I add it and use it.

Either of the two will work for me.

Thanks.

Hi anu0987,

I think you can insert the <a id="id1" herf="url"></a> into the freetextbox instead of the anchor control.

They have the same effect.

Please check the following link about how to use the bookmark in the office.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/b7whe1tx(v=VS.80).aspx

Hi Thanks for you reply. I am actually able to add the inser anchor to the editor. The users who will use this FreeTextBox editor will use it for creating article and want a button on the editor for putting anchors.

 I am here posting the solution for anyone who may need this.

<FTB:FreeTextBox ID="FreeTextBox2" runat="server" SupportFolder="~/aspnet_client/FreeTextBox/" ImageGalleryUrl="ftb.ImageGallery.aspx?rif=../popup_image/&cif=../popup_image/"

toolbarlayout="ParagraphMenu,FontFacesMenu,FontSizesMenu,FontForeColorsMenu,FontForeColorPicker,FontBackColorsMenu,FontBackColorPicker|Bold,Italic,Underline,Strikethrough,Superscript,Subscript,RemoveFormat|JustifyLeft,JustifyRight,JustifyCenter,JustifyFull;BulletedList,NumberedList,Indent,Outdent;CreateLink,Unlink,InsertImageFromGallery|Cut,Copy,Paste,Delete;Undo,Redo,Print,Save|SymbolsMenu,InsertRule,InsertDate,InsertTime|InsertTable,EditTable,Preview,SelectAll,WordClean,NetSpell" Height="300px" Width="100%" >

<Toolbars>

<FTB:Toolbar runat="server">

<FTB:ToolbarButton runat="server" Title="bookmark" ButtonImage="anchor">
